Revised Common Rules (Version 5)

General message to all SPEAR users.

The SPEAR Common Rules, which form part of the SPEAR access agreement have been revised. These amended rules have now replaced the existing SPEAR Common Rules.

The revision relates to Clause 17 and the use of terminology from 'Authorised Purpose' to 'Relevant Purpose'. The associated definition of Relevant Purpose has also been included in the Definitions.

Definition of 'objection' has been added and Clause 16.2 added that covers an objector acting on behalf of an organisation or group of individuals that he/she is authorised to lodge an objection on it/their behalf.

Version 5 of the Common Rules became effective on 13th January 2009.
