Governance Model

Interdepartmental Committee

A government interdepartmental committee was formed with representatives from Municipal Association of Victoria, State Revenue Office, Local Government Division of Department of Victorian Communities, Building Commission and Office of the Chief Information Officer.

The Committee meets bimonthly and is updated on Land Exchange program progress and is a forum for the program to receive advice and direction.

Steering Committee

The Land Exchange Steering Committee is chaired by the Deputy Secretary of the Built Environment Group and includes representatives from Municipal Association of Victoria, Office of the Chief Information Officer and an independent e-business strategist. The committee was formed to provide a strategic whole-of-government view on the development of the Land Exchange.

Program Control Board

The Program Control Board is the key governance forum for decision making. It overseas the Land Exchange program and its projects. The Board monitors project milestones and budgets in accordance within the PRINCE 2 project management methodology.

Program Office

The Land Exchange program office has the overall responsibility for the management of the program. It is responsible for program, project and budget monitoring and reporting, planning, stakeholder communications coordination, contract management, legal, technical and policy advice and supporting the governance framework.
